SHE LEFT HIM ONCE.

LOST Agent Ana Young was only fourteen when she was abducted by a madman, but unlike many kidnapping victims, she did go home. Now, her mission is to find the missing. But her new case has her on the hunt for the escaped convict who’s obsessed with her. And Ana has an unlikely partner—the sexy, supposedly-by-the-book FBI agent she had one amazing night with and had to forget.

NOW HE HAS TO PROTECT HER 24/7…

FBI Special Agent Cash Knox knows that Ana, the petite, tough-ass former bounty hunter, can get the job done again. But this time, someone else leads them to “Bernie-the-Butcher,” someone who’s been watching Ana. Waiting for her.

FROM A CRAZED KILLER.

Now, catching a deranged murderer means Ana must trust her guarded heart to the gorgeous, complicated G-man she wasn’t supposed to fall for.

♦4.5-STAR REVIEW♦

Wrecked, an exciting and riveting finish to the series, brought with it a fantastic blend of mystery and romance. Having briefly been introduced to our heroine in the prior book, and knowing her backstory from it, I was intrigued by her addition to the series and excited to experience her happy ending. Eden, as she does best, brought her A game in mapping a twisty-turny and crazy game of suspense for these main characters to traipse.

Not one to spend too much time drawing my own conclusions before the killer is revealed (I’m usually always wrong), I simply grabbed on and went along for the ride from the get-go. Eden continually surprised me with each turn, keeping those pages turning quickly out of necessity. Out of the entire series, the romance in this one felt the most organic. Both Ana and Knox carry with them demons from the past and find kindred spirits in one another, but their connection was instinctual. Effortless. The comfort they found in the others’ arms was truly beautiful. I just loved the way he cherished and accepted her, and how he was man enough to let her be the one with all the power as he sensed she needed it. That, to most, is an incredibly sexy quality in a man and I dare say Knox has become a fave Eden hero.

As a fan of this series, I am entirely sad to see it go. Eden can really delve into the dark and twisted villains and throw them into a story to cause havoc. But she creates such great characters to battle (and defeat) that darkness. Wrecked had an intense storyline with a kickass heroine and one hell of a hero to love her. From cover to cover it’s a book you won’t be able to put down and you’ll absolutely love where it takes you. I can’t wait to see what she does next in the genre.

Step into the Honey Club, where every sensual boundary will be tested in search of the ultimate pleasure…

Branch doesn’t exist. Living off the grid, he’s looking for a way to forget his past and the guilt that plagues him. But no woman has ever been able to bring him to the edge he craves.

After a traumatic experience of her own, Evangeline stepped away from the decadent world of the Honey Club. But when she gets Branch’s offer—to play without boundaries or commitments—it’s too tempting for her to refuse.

As their passion ignites, Evangeline and Branch push each other to their farthest limit, fulfilling their darkest desires while falling harder and deeper than they ever imagined.

♦6-STAR REVIEW♦

Reading The Farthest Edge felt like coming home. Vintage, feel-good Kristen Ashley. The kind of book that felt powerful from the first chapter with its vivid and poignant characters and its ability to reach deep inside to pull forth a reaction from the reader. I’m not sure if it’s possible to convey how much this book affected me or if it’s even possible to articulate that sort of connection, but this will be an attempt to do that very thing.

In wracking my brain trying to think of which KA heroine Evangeline reminded me of, I realized that she was more of a mishmash of a lot of her characters compiled into one woman: she had the tenacity of Cassie (Deacon); the fun side of Indy (Rock Chick); the badassitude of Sylvie (Creed); and the unwavering support of Lexie (Lady Luck). She was comprised of all these striking elements from women before her and yet she felt unique, whole, complete. Evangeline might just be a favorite of mine simply because of her inner fighter. Even still smarting from the ultimate breach in trust and the loss of her safety from months before, she persevered. For him. For her.

For a man with much to be crushed by, Branch’s beauty came from the light beneath the rubble. He felt like every KA alpha, the kind with hands who’ve done too much and a heart with so much to give. Like Deacon, his own version of a cabin eleven brought him to exactly where he needed to be. I was so intrigued by this man upon meeting him in the prior book and in now knowing him, I can say that Ashley did him absolute justice. I cannot begin to explain how the soul of him was written on every page just waiting to be let loose and brought back to him in order for him to define his identity.

Most romances are beautiful and inspiring, and that’s what we love about them, but there are few that soulfully move a reader and melt them from within. The subtle nuances to their connection, minimized as they were in order not to spook him, were consuming. There was a raw power that circled them, one that Evangeline was wholly aware of, and yet she held it back, releasing it slowly in ways that brought him back to the edge where he needed to be. Where she was, holding herself open and bare for him.

I adored The Deep End, the first standalone in the series, but I loved this one even more. I felt like I was in this bubble with Evangeline and Branch, wrapped up in the contact high of them. Enraptured, in awe, completely consumed I was. The easy-going and organic chemistry, the lovely slow-burn romance, and the scorching sexiness created one hell of a tale that Kristen Ashley penned with absolute perfection. The Farthest Edge captured the best kind of love story with a verve that can only come from her mind. Savor it because it was unputdownable and that made it end way too soon.

Side note: While it is a standalone, it does give away some spoilers on the couple from book one; if that should bother you, please read book one prior.

♦EXCERPT♦

Putting a hand in and touching the fabric, Branch noted she had a fondness for silk and all of them were either dark purple, deep blue or black.

He also noted in an intense way that almost made him feel something, not only in his dick and balls, but somewhere else, that she had her shit tight.

She knew who she was. She knew what she liked. And what she liked wasn’t common or vulgar, as many people might see it (but he didn’t, he still couldn’t deny he like the way she obviously played it).

There was an elegance to her style.

It wasn’t about ball gags and he didn’t find a single strap on.

She got the life.

But she did it her way.

Yeah, that definitely almost made him feel something.

Almost.

The next drawer down, he found more harnesses, these for smaller uses, balls, cock, jaw.

There were also two carved boxes he pulled out and opened, their original use was for rings or jewelry but she’d put four cock rings in the purple velvet in one and a number of gleaming nipple clamps with and without chains tangled against the blue silk lining in the other.

He put the boxes back, closed the drawer, straightened and took one last look around.

It was a well-equipped playroom. She could get creative and be clean and safe doing it.

He cast his eyes down to the top of the dresser, lifted his hand and swiped it along the top, shining his flashlight on his fingers when he was done.

Dust.

She hadn’t been in there in months.

He drew breath in through his nose, switched off the light and turned his attention across the studio toward the wall beyond which was her house.

Aryas had made him an offer.

He needed to make a decision.

♦ABOUT THE AUTHOR♦

kristen-ashley-headshot

Kristen Ashley was born in Gary, Indiana, USA and nearly killed her mother and herself making it into the world, seeing as she had the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck (already attempting to accessorise and she hadn’t taken her first breath!). Her mother said they took Kristen away, put her Mom back in her room, her mother looked out the window, and Gary was on fire (Dr. King had been assassinated four days before). Kristen’s Mom remembered thinking it was the end of the world. Quite the dramatic beginning.
Nothing’s changed.

Kristen grew up in Brownsburg, Indiana and has lived in Denver, Colorado and the West Country of England. Thus, she’s blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her family was (is) loopy (to say the least) but loopy is good when you want to write. They all lived together on a very small farm in a small farm town in the heartland. She grew up with Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon and Whitesnake (and the wardrobes that matched).

Needless to say, growing up in a house full of music, clothes and love was a good way to grow up.

And as she keeps growing, it keeps getting better.

When my brother died, everyone thought I was just the good guy who stepped up to take his place in the band.

No one knew what I was hiding. The one thing I’ve been fighting for.

Taking her was a betrayal. But keeping her means risking everything.
One look at Alexis Kensington, and I know she’s worth the fight.
Will my past continue to keep me down or will I finally find the strength to pull myself up and Stand?

♦4-STAR REVIEW♦

Jackson takes readers into the heart of Sunder with Zee’s story in Stand, the final book in the Bleeding Stars series. Zee and his story really do encompass the entire band and their history because of his joining into the group due to a very instrumental and sad moment. Told in both flashback and present viewpoints, Zee’s story is carefully laid out for the reader to experience and see everything from the beginning of the band to the pivotal moments in Zee’s life. And while Zee has been a background character in the prior books, his presence has always felt larger than life so one couldn’t imagine the excitement of this reader when it came to getting his story.

Two characters both embroiled in their own personal conflict, Alexis and Zee seek comfort and escapism with one another. Zee is a man not fully living while Alexis’ mantra  (“No fear. Just life.”) gives her the drive she needs to continue forward. What they teach one another is something you can’t help but take away from this novel. The romanticism and sweetness standout brightly, giving it a warm, comforting feel. Sexual tension is always something that Jackson writes so well, and it really shines here in giving them resistance, a forbidden-like magnetism.

It’s truly sad to say goodbye to these men who’ve shown us their love stories, but it has been such a great ride. Zee is the literal icing on top of the cake, the glue that has always been holding things together. To see him find the kind of woman that Alexis embodies gives this reader a happy heart. His big, brooding self against her small, gentle softness created a brilliant base for Jackson to build on. It’s easy to experience the instinctual basis for their connection and it explodes from there. Stand was wonderfully sweet and full of delicious sexual tension, but most of all it gave justice to a character we’ve been waiting for and the best happy beginnings to a great cast of characters.

An NFL player with a secret past, and the one woman with the power to turn his world inside out…

Former actress Emma Rothschild is partying in Vegas in disguise. But I’m not fooled. Five years ago, I knew that body better than my own, and I haven’t forgotten a single detail.

When Emma’s unexpectedly left alone in sin city, I agree to spend the weekend with her. As friends. Why not? If I can knock down the toughest guys in the NFL, I’m strong enough to keep my hands to myself, even if she is the sexiest woman I’ve ever met.

Emma is part of my past—years so shrouded in secrets that not even my best friends know the truth about who I am. I’m a single dad now and not interested in revisiting my old ways or trying to win back the only woman I ever let close enough to break my heart.

But this is Vegas, where all bets are off, and with Emma, nothing ever goes as planned…

FALLING HARD is a sexy and emotional novel intended for mature readers. It’s the fourth book in the world of the Blackhawk Boys, but can be enjoyed as a standalone.

Football. Secrets. Lies. Passion. These boys don’t play fair. Which Blackhawk Boy will steal your heart?

♦EXCERPT♦

“You’re too beautiful,” I tell her. I run my thumb along her jaw. “Too fucking beautiful.”

“I’ve missed you. You’re the best man I’ve ever met.”

My stomach clenches and I shake my head. “Don’t think that. It’s a lie. It’s what I wanted you to believe. Don’t bring that lie into tonight.”

“How was it a lie?” She grins up at me, and I know a full confession would erase all the happiness from her face.

“When we were together before, I wasn’t the man you thought I was. I wasn’t good.” It’s the closest to the truth I’ve ever given anyone about my past.

“So you don’t want me believing you’re good?”

I pull her hips tightly against me as I exhale in frustration. She still thinks this is some kind of joke. “I’m different now, but then…”

She lifts onto her toes and flicks her tongue against my ear. “Don’t be so different. I like you a little bad.”

I groan and stop dancing. I don’t know how much longer I can do this without diving over the line. “Is that permission to stop being your friend?” I’m obsessed with knowing if she tastes as sweet as I remember. And if I swipe my tongue over the sensitive spot beneath her ear, will she gasp like she always did?

She shrugs and grins, and the dance floor tilts off balance. It’s crowded, and we’re surrounded by writhing bodies, cocooned in the crowd. I turn her in my arms so her back is to my front and settle my hand against the soft skin of her midriff. She arches her back and rubs against me.

I sweep her hair to the side, and when I press my lips to the long, smooth column of her neck, she trembles against me.

“Are you okay?” I ask against her ear. “Is this okay?”

“I—I’m not sure…”

“Tell me what you want. Not five years ago. Not tomorrow. What do you want right now?”

She reaches back and threads her fingers through my hair to guide my mouth back to her neck.

I don’t hesitate. I kiss and suck on that tender skin while we move to the beat.

The rest of the room fades and one song blurs into the next. A waitress comes by selling shots, and I buy two, one for each of us, and we lock eyes as we throw them back. At some point, I’m vaguely aware of Bailey checking on me, but my focus is one hundred percent on Emma, on this night that takes me back to when I was eighteen and so fucking in love it hurt. Tonight, Emma isn’t the woman who once broke my heart. She isn’t the girl who wrote me off with a simple goodbye note and apologies I didn’t want. Tonight, she’s a dream, my fantasy in the flesh, my reward for surviving the hardest year of my whole life.

When her face begins to blur, I realize I’m way more drunk than I ever intended. I need to sober up or I’m not going to remember a minute of this night. “Want to get out of here?”

She nods, takes my hand, and leads me out of the bar and down the hall to the elevators. My watch reads a quarter past two.

“Let’s get some food,” I suggest, but at the same moment, an elevator dings and the doors slide open.

Emma grabs my hand and drags me inside. “I don’t want food,” she says, punching a button.

I spin her around and press her against the wall. “What do you want, Em?” I drop my hand to her side to skim my knuckles over her skirt, and she widens her stance to part her thighs. “Fuck,” I whisper. I shouldn’t do this. Not here, not when any moment someone could join us on the elevator, not when we’re both so damn drunk it’s a wonder we can stand upright. But shouldn’t is so much weaker than want, and I want to touch her more than I want anything right now.

I’m faintly aware of the soft beeping of the passing floors as I slide my hand up her skirt and cup her between her legs. She gasps, and I rub my fingers over the damp lace of her panties, teasing her swollen flesh.

When the elevator stops and the doors slide open, she grabs my wrist and holds me still. “Please,” she whispers in my ear. “Please. Don’t stop.” Then she tilts her hips and rocks against my hand. I couldn’t refuse her if every person in the hotel was watching us.
