About Me

Hi! My name is Shelee and I am an avid reader of romance books. It didn’t always used to be romance, mostly Harry Bosch mysteries growing up, but now I am all about the love. I love and enjoy most any genre of romance book as long as it pulls me into the story and takes me on a journey. I am currently a 20-something full-time college student who decided she wanted to do something different for a job, as well as a mostly full-time mother. I am the sole owner and blogger of Book Reader Chronicles, and love doing what I do.

Here is what I LOVE and have soft spots for: any book with ANGST (I love being tortured), second chance romances, hidden or secret babies/pregnancies/children, oops pregnancies, books that make me LAUGH, books that are DIFFERENT, books that SURPRISE me, and books that make me FEEL something. I especially love books with tropes such as the older brother’s best friend (or best friend’s brother), military men, Were-shifters, and men who are straight-up alphas!

  1. Wow! You read 3 to 6 books a week! I wish I could do that but my life doesn’t give me the time. Between working, being a mom, blogging and working on my debut novel squeezing in time to read is almost nonexistent. My reading time is once a night around midnight until I can’t keep my eyes open 🙂 I look forward to seeing some of your blog post! Nice to meet you!

    1. Hi Jaime – thanks for reading my blog! I own my own business which is stressful in of itself. I read as a stress relief! Good luck on your debut novel! I’d love to read it when it is ready. Happy writing!!!

      1. Thanks! I completely understand relieving stress.

I would love it if you would read my novel! If you haven’t already, you can follow my blog for updates, sneak peeks and future giveaways. Have a wonderful weekend!

  2. hi shelee…I really enjoyed your blog…your writing skills make me wonder when you will be writing your own best-seller. i’m reading an amazing novelistic murder mystery right now. the setting of the story pulls me in. it’s by an irish writer and is set in and around Dublin, Ireland. the author is tana french and I read a new Yorker magazine review of her first book and was hooked. now i’m reading ‘broken harbor’. this is a big fat book, loaded with intertwining relationships and outstanding character depictions of the main actors: a police murder squad main police detective, and his newbie sidekick. it’s sophisticated, fast-moving, and has an emotional pull for sure. I thought you might be interested in checking out tana French and her work. take care, shelee…great blog.

    1. Oh, thank you so much, Judith! Being a novelist is sort of a pipe dream so maybe one day I’ll get on it 😉 I’ll check out Tana French; thank you for recommending her to me. I love a good mystery novel and the way you described it makes me want to put aside my reading schedule and hop right in to one of hers! I’ll try to remember to let you know what I think after I check her out 🙂
