The marriage is fake. But for a sassy chef and an arrogant billionaire, the sparks are real…

Jackson “The Beast” Boudreaux is rich, gorgeous, and unbelievably rude to the staff at Chef Bianca Hardwick’s New Orleans restaurant. Bianca would sooner douse herself in hot sauce than cook for Jackson again, but when he asks her to cater his fund-raiser, Bianca can’t refuse, knowing the cash will help pay her mother’s medical bills. Then Jackson makes another outrageous request: Marry me. The unconventional offer includes an enormous sum—money Bianca desperately needs, even if it does come with a contract—and a stunning ring.

The heir to a family bourbon dynasty, Jackson knows the rumors swirling around him. The truth is even darker. Still, he needs a wife to secure his inheritance, and free-spirited, sassy Bianca would play the part beautifully. Soon, though, their simple business deal evolves into an emotional intimacy he’s built walls to avoid.

As the passion heats up between them, Bianca and Jackson struggle to define which feelings are real and which are for show. Is falling for your fake fiancé the best happy ending…or a recipe for disaster?

Burn For You, embellished with the New Orleans flair and food, took a spin on the classic Beauty and the Beast love story. Filled with character and personality, it easily transports you into not just another city but into the lives of these two lively people–both so polarizing with their differences and yet on the same playing field when it comes to their passion for others. And a passionate distaste for one another is what they have in spades.

Having not read many novels with a vibrant heroine who epitomizes the culture of that particular area, she was a bit startling at first. Originally feeling she was overdone, it took a bit to get used to her and come to connect with her–outside of her metaphoric sayings–, but I absolutely adored her feisty nature underneath it. She was the take-charge kind of woman who wasn’t one to be blinded or walked over which became a great battle of contention with a man so used to throwing his weight around. Their dynamic was romantic and charming, filled with the lovely awkwardness of hidden attractions and a woman who wasn’t to be cowed. And underneath all of that bravado, Geissinger wrote another hero to absolutely fall for that has a heart bigger than his presence.

Burn For You is a slow-burn romance that perfectly and easily falls into its romance. There’s no hesitation that these two have great chemistry, and as the reader you’re carried on a satisfying journey to them fumbling around to find it. Geissinger presented two strong personalities and harmonized them into a beautiful song, and built a wonderful novel around them.
