Bad Habit #2; Can be read as a standalone
Chloe Carmichael’s life feels pretty sweet—she’s both maid of honor and florist for her best friend’s A-list wedding, things are getting serious with her boyfriend, and her flower shop is about to get a spread in a national magazine. But it all quickly turns sour whenever the best man, Bad Habit drummer A.J. Edwards, shows his face…his handsome, unforgettable face. A.J. is everything Chloe doesn’t want: tattooed, selfish, and all-around bad news. So why can’t she stop thinking about him?
Goody two-shoes Chloe isn’t exactly A.J.’s type, either, but the chemistry between them is undeniable. A.J. will be the first to say he isn’t a saint, but there’s something he’s not saying—something that would devastate Chloe. The only way he can protect her is to push her away, but the drummer finds he needs her now more than ever. When a wedding-day confrontation reveals secrets they’re both hiding, will Chloe and A.J. ever find their rhythm again
♦5+ STAR REVIEW♦
I find reviews for books you absolutely love and adore are the absolute hardest to write. I’ve put this off for a few days because I couldn’t find words to do this book justice. MAKE ME SIN will be on my top favorite for the year; I know this. It had this volcanic intensity of a hate-filled relationship between A.J. and Chloe. But underneath that ire there was an undiagnosed sexual intensity. It explodes with urgency right from the get-go, and it was an unbelievable journey of detested feelings, sexual cravings, heartache, and love.
Chloe was comical and enjoyable to read. Her passion for her career and her dedication for independence was inspirational. Her flower shop was her dream, and her way of separating herself from her over imposing, too traditional family. And yet she takes it incredibly personal when A.J. hates her off the bat. Her need to be liked by those around her makes it impossible to let that go. And A.J. is this closed-off, scarred drummer for Bad Habit that is sort of an enigma. She can’t quite figure him out, nor can she stop trying.
The hate/love aspect will fuel your enthusiasm for this book. You’ll be ensnared by the sexual tension clogging up the air. And A.J., oh he will rip you in half. Your heart will bleed for him, and subsequently for her. He’s a brave, dark soul who has suffered too much, and can’t quite figure out how to let himself be cared for. He struggles with being deserving of anything good, and Chloe has enough good for two people…if he’ll let her in. It was an absolutely fascinating novel, probably my most favorite to date of Ms. Geissinger’s. You’ll be taken where you’re not suspecting to go, and you’ll fall deeply in love with both of them on the way. Highly, highly recommend this tragically beautiful tale.
Each book is about a different couple, but they are interconnected
