♦BLURB♦

The New York Times bestselling author of On Dublin Street returns to the bar where it all began with Braden and Joss for a white-hot new novella full of passion and drama.

When he’s not working at the club, Craig Lanaghan looks out for his mother and little sisters. So when it comes to women, all he wants is a good time. But once Rain Alexander walks into his life, there’s no denying that this woman could be worth much more than a one-night stand….

Rain’s lifelong regret is having left her sister Darcy alone years ago with a guardian who turned out to be abusive. So when Darcy’s boyfriend publicly humiliates her in a cruel way, Rain’s overprotective instincts kick in and she follows him to Club 39—where she meets a guy who just might be her perfect match.

The chemistry between Rain and Craig is explosive, but Rain is out for revenge, and refuses to be sidetracked by flirtation. As things between them heat up, she’ll have to make a heartbreaking choice between giving in to the man of her dreams or putting her sister’s happiness first

♦4-STAR REVIEW♦

Craig, we met in On Dublin Street, is a manwhoring bartender who is good-looking and can charm the panties off of any girl by day and a family man by night. He’s been the man of the house for too many years, and has loved and cared for his sisters and mother ever since his dad passed away years ago. Beneath that lover-boy exterior is a man who hasn’t found someone to settle down for. And it’s that persona that works against him in every way the night he comes across Rain. He’ll have to prove that he has more to him than his flirty words and one-night-stand ability.

Rain is out for revenge. When her sister gets hurt horribly by a now-ex boyfriend, Rain pulls out all of the stops in order to get revenge on the bastard. But that revenge leads her right into Craig’s path, and there’s something about him that derails her revenge plan. With her abusive past and lack of love, Rain has hardened herself to men. She’s a hopeless romantic who dreams of finding a man who will be her ‘One,’ and she knows that Craig isn’t it. She doesn’t want to open herself up to get hurt knowing that he’s never had a real relationship and she doesn’t want to fall prey to his flirtatious words that he uses on all the women.

Novellas can be difficult as a reader, especially when they come from an author that you really love, because you want all of the story and can’t get that in such a short outlet. But with what Ms. Young had to work with, she really made something of their story. Rain and Craig’s banter was enjoyable, and watching him slowly crack away at her was great. The Realist and The Romantic crossed paths and connected in a great way, centering each other and balancing out what the other was lacking. It was a sweet, spicy story in a series that I really love. I just simply wish there was more of it!
