Bad boy Troy Jacobs is all about taking risks. As a stunt double for Hollywood’s A-listers, there’s no fall he won’t attempt. With one exception—women. Troy fell hard once, and it nearly broke him. Since then, he’s vowed never to trust like that again and he’s got everything under control. Until the woman who shattered his heart years before shows up on his movie-set.

Country music star Giselle “Ellie” Diamond learned long ago that sometimes love isn’t enough. When love got in the way of her goals, she made the tough choice to let go of happily ever after and chased the glitz and glamour of the stage. It may not be all she expected, but now it’s all she has. And with a worldwide tour on the line, Ellie needs one last gig to rocket her toward stardom: a high-profile roll in a blockbuster film.

Passion sparks, and old feelings return. But while Troy and Ellie grow closer their problems from the past simmer in the background. And this time around, there’s more tearing them apart than just one star-studded career.

Troy is a stunt double extraordinaire. He’s engulfed himself in his work to avoid thinking about the past, but that doesn’t mean that she doesn’t sneak up on his mind every once in awhile. And of course, just his luck, she’s going to be in the movie he’s filming on. Troy, to me, was a very down-to-earth sensitive man who was fierce and strong. He had feelings, he had emotions, but he had the ability to shelter them. I don’t think even he was expecting to feel the things he did when he saw his Ellie again. And I think no matter how valiant and loving he was, his efforts always came across as something different than they were. Because of that, I wanted to fight for him, advocate for his cause.

Giselle, or Ellie, has been fighting for her music career since she was old enough to be able to. Having been placed in a foster home where Troy was, he helped to push her to strive for the music career she deserved while they fell in love. When things became too tough and she had to choose one over the other, she chose her career. Now, many years later, she’s finally living the life she always wanted. But she hasn’t forgotten him. No, when she sees him again? All of those feelings come back. Ellie was sort of stuck between a rock and a hard place. She wanted two very different things and could never figure out how to live her life instead of it living her.

A great second chance romance that had instant sparks the very moment that the two characters came across one another. It was kinky and hot, and you could literally feel the built up sexual tension that had been simmering for years and years between these two separated lovers. When these two were around each other it was like history didn’t matter; the sexual spark was lit immediately and became too overbearing for both to resist. But aside from that sexual tension, they also had a lot of pent up guilt, remorse, love, lust, anger. And climbing through all of that took both people. I loved the way the emotions played out, and how I, personally, was on Troy’s side. I fell in love with him and the way he thought, and wanted the best for him. Great writing as always, and I really hope there’s more to come with the sexy men of the Renegades!

Sometimes fun. Sometimes naughty. Always romantic.

I am a New York Times Bestselling Author writing under the pseudonym Skye Jordan for my more … sexually heated … works.

My Skye Jordan novels are all about enjoying that little wild streak we all have, but probably don’t let out often enough. About those fantasies we usually don’t get the opportunity to indulge. About stretching limits, checking out the dark side, playing naughty and maybe even acting a little wicked. They’re about escape and fun and pleasure and romance.

And, yes, even love. Because even as Skye Jordan I’m just a happily ever after kinda gal.

Thanks for reading!
